Are you a leader looking for an opportunity to strengthen Oregon's
local public health departments and improve the health of the community?

The Coalition of Local Health Officials is a nonprofit organization
that brings together the leadership of Oregon's local health
authorities. The Coalition creates a constructive and collegial
environment for advancing the broad interests of public health. The
Mission of public health is to improve health status through the
promotion of health and the prevention of and protection from injury
and disease. CLHO advances this mission by taking an active role in
the development of public health legislation, ensuring adequate and
equitable funding of public health services and programs across
Oregon, promoting a clear and positive image of local public health,
and promoting public health knowledge and skills in the local public
health workforce and leadership.

The Executive Director is responsible for nurturing and implementing
the mission and strategic vision of the Coalition by building
cooperative working relationships with key partners, providing
leadership and administrative support, and helping to develop and
advance the Coalition's legislative agenda.

Experience
* Are you a talented leader with management expertise?

* Do you have a passion for and commitment to policy development and
advocacy on behalf of public health in Oregon?

* Are you skilled at building consensus and advancing a legislative
agenda both at the state and local level?

* Do you have the experience to act as a conduit and information
broker on public health issues to CLHO partners, policy makers and
elected leaders across Oregon?
