A world-class winery in the south Salem hills, and recognized by Wine Enthusiast magazine as “One of America's Great Pinot Noir Producers”, Willamette Valley Vineyards has been a cornerstone of the Oregon wine industry for over 25 years.

Founded in 1983 by Oregon native, Jim Bernau, with the dream of creating world-class Pinot Noir, our wines express the unique aromas and flavors from this land. Stewardship of the land is fundamental. All three vineyards, the Estate Vineyard, Tualatin Estate, and Elton vineyard, are certified sustainable (LIVE/Salmon-Safe).

Our tasting room is open daily from 11am-6pm. We offer a complimentary tasting plus a $6 reserve tasting of small lots. We invite you to stop by and taste our sustainably produced wines and enjoy the spectacular views.

Sustainable Qualification Summary
In 2005, Founder Jim Bernau won permission from the OLCC to include a ten cent recycling refund statement on our wine labels. We offer ten cents for each bottle and one dollar for returned shippers.

We've partnered with Amorim Cork American, SOLV and Yemm & Hart to begin a nationwide cork recycling campaign. Willamette Valley Vineyards is the first winery in the world to use cork certified through the Rainforest Allicance to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards.

The company uses recycled paper, recycled cardboard shippers, and recycles all plastic, aluminum, paper; and cardboard products.

Also in 2005, Founder Jim Bernau launched the employee biodiesel program; offering fifty gallons of biodiesel a month to each employee, for free.

Our vineyards are certified sustainable through LIVE (Low Input Viticulture and Enology) and Salmon Safe since 1997. Additionally, our Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir planting were certified organic in October 2007 by Oregon Tilth.
