The new and improved Mississippi Studios is completed. Formerly able to delight only 85 patrons at a time, the new club will retain the ruby-walled rustic charm of the original room, while adding a brand new 250+ capacity Concert Hall to the equation. The new Mississippi Studios features the best sound in Portland, skyscraping ceilings, a 3/4 wrap mini-balcony, FULL bar, tasty snacks, amazing sound and an art gallery. Sustainable Qualification Summary We here at Mississippi Studios have taken extra steps to ensure green practices take place whenever possible. We always use compact florescent bulbs whenever we can. All cups used at our venue are corn cups and we a very serious about recycling as much as possible. We have also moved away from using wrist bands for bands to reduce plastic consumption. We also use drain water from our roof in an irrigation planter behind the building to reduce waste water and are always trying to reduce energy use whenever possible. From our cups to reusing paper and limiting the number of tickets we print each night we are always adapting to help our environment.
