Bios Architecture is a small, local, collaborative architectural design firm that focuses on Biosphere sustaining design.

We believe that to design is to modify our environment & the objects / experiences that surround us. Modifying our environment for a richer more enjoyable life is what makes us human. To be human is to design.

It is our mission to promote design experiences and outcomes that honor, enrich, and enliven each and every life within the biosphere.

Sustainable Qualification Summary
At Bios Architecture we seek to work colaboratively with members of the community, other design professionals, and local builders to create places to live, work, and play that:
(1) make more energy than they consume
(2) are made of non-toxic, regionally and equitably harvested materials
(3) enrich not only the lives of the building owners and occupants but the entire Biosphere within which the chain of life is sustained.

According to the Building Energy Data Book (produced by the U.S. Dept. of Energy), "in the United States, the buildings sector accounted for about 41% of primary energy consumption in 2010, 44% more than the transportation sector and 36% more than the industrial sector."

It is our mission at Bios Architecture to colaborate on solutions that not only reduce energy use but also create beautiful, humane, and wholistic placemaking designs within both the local community and the larger Biosphere.
