Sustainable Qualification Summary Our program is a free offering through the City of Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, and our goal is to help all businesses in Portland improve their sustainability practices in the areas of energy, waste, recycling, water, green building and transportation. We also work to educate businesses about their carbon footprint and help them identify ways to measure and reduce their emissions. And of course our staff our committed to our own sustainability practices. A complete list would be too long, so here are a few highlights: we operate out of the historic LEED-certified Ecotrust building which boasts secure indoor bike parking and a locker rooms, onsite stormwater management, and a solar PV system; we use 100% recycled content paper when we have to print; we visit most of our clients by bike or public transit; we recycling and compost; and we conserve energy with stringent computer power settings. Green Certifications We offer recognition to business that have reduced their carbon footpring through our Portland Climate Champion award. We also administer the annual BEST Awards.
