GREEN FOCUS: Cool Things That Are Green

Background: One of the trickiest aspects of macro photography is the balance between stability and agility. When you're this close to your subject, the slightest breeze or shake of your hand can make you miss the shot – a tripod is almost always necessary, as well as a great deal of patience. But if your subject is moving, good luck keeping up with your tripod attached!
The image-stabilization feature of my 105mm macro lens certainly helped, but there's no denying some element of luck when you get a shot like this while shooting hand-held (which I did!).

Manifest Photography LLC: Rethink the Way You Decorate.
If you have ever had the task of filling a large space with art, then you know: good art can be very expensive. What's more, once you shell out for that art, it usually ends up sitting in the same spot on the wall year after year, until eventually you are so accustomed to it that it only rarely draws your attention.
When Portland photographer Peter Blanchard created Manifest Photography LLC, he sought to solve both of these problems. Manifest Photography's unique Rotational Art Leasing program makes filling a space with vibrant art much more affordable, and includes the opportunity to rotate in new artwork as often as twice each year with no additional cost.
Specializing in giclee photographic prints on canvas, Manifest Photography truly gives you a fine-art experience. There is no glass between you and the image, and the texture of the canvas combined with the vibrant color and detail of the images lead many people mistake the final product for paintings.
In addition to affordability and convenience, Rotational Art Leasing also makes fine art a sustainable venture – enjoy the artwork until you are ready for something new, and then let it rotate into another space, to be enjoyed all over again by others instead of gathering dust in storage or being thrown away when you're done with it. With rates starting as low as $17 per month, it's truly time to rethink the way you decorate!
