Ecovative Green Building Conference May 10th

The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland is presenting the second annual EcoVative Conference and Expo at the Holiday Inn Portland South in Wilsonville on May 10th.

The conference will feature a robust roster of industry experts, including renowned building science expert Mark LaLiberte, who will keynote the event and lead three training sessions on Market Differentiation, Thermodynamics, Air Sealing and R-Values, and Durability and Water Management.

The EcoVative program directly supports Oregon and Southern Washington’s commitment to green building practices in both theory and execution through high-quality training and lectures.  By uniting education and practice, EcoVative gives homebuilders and contractors the valuable tools, knowledge and in-demand techniques needed to enhance performance and grow their business.

Morning sessions include:

* Keynote by Mark LaLiberte; Understanding Energy Performance Score in Oregon presented by the Energy Trust of Oregon;

* How to Avoid Call Backs presented by Earth Advantage Institute

* Best Practices for New Homes presented by the Energy Trust of Oregon

* Green Promises: A Legal Perspective presented by William Joseph & Susan C. Glen of Dunn, Carney, Allen, Higgins & Tongue LLP

* Damage From Water Intrusion Caused by Construction Defects in Residential Walls presented by George A. Tsongas, Ph.D., P.E.

* Best Practices for New Homes: Understanding the Six Program Requirements to Obtain an EPS presented by the Energy Trust of Oregon

* Thermodynamics, Air Sealing & R-Values presented by Mark LaLiberte

EcoVative training sessions are eligible all eight elective contractor’s Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) continuing education requirements.
