Owl Watch 2010: Live Video

Creatures of the night.  No, not vampires although Lost Boys is a favorite flick of mine.  I speak of owl’s and I speak of Molly and McGee, two Barn Owls in San Marcos, CA.  Their lives and the eggs they laid are being streamed live online, and it‘s kind of addicting. 

Twitter, once again, lured me to a website that has captured my attention and supported my fascination with the rarely seen owl for us city dwellers. 

Reasons why owls are the coolest:
*  They are a bird of prey
*  Hear mice 60 feet away
*  Fly silently
*  Owls live on every continent except Antarctica
*  Culturally symbolized as either wise or harbingers of doom and death
*  They can turn their head 270 degrees in either direction and upside down
