Rep. Earl Blumenaur Cycling New York City Streets (VIDEO)

Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenaur travels to the Big Apple to experience cycling New York City streets. 

Blumenauer joins Transportation Alternatives, an advocacy group in New York for bicycling, walking and public transportion as well as StreetFilms.org, which documents street lives world wide to experience the chaos of cycling down standard painted bike lanes and the safer, newer physically separated bike lanes.  It's what Portland is looking to do in the very near future.  With New York already making it happen and seeing that it works  bodes well for success in Portland.
