Why High Oil Prices

Back in the summer time when gas prices were so incredibly high, transportation lifestyles and public demand for fuel efficiency began with a full head of steam on a national level.  The American auto industry started to tank much more rapidly, public transportation ridership was at all time highs, and the biking industry flourished.  It's dishartening to think that when the banks started to crash in October, so did oil prices.
