Jimi Hendrix Drummer Dies In Portland

Mitch Mitchell, the drummer with the Jimi Hendrix Experience passed away at the Benson Hotel here in Portland.  He was 61 when he passed away and he likely died of natural causes.  Natural causes that come from being a rock star during the hay day of rock ‘n roll in the late ‘60’s.

Mitchell just played at the Schnitz last Friday as part of The Experience Hendrix tour.

The great part about influential musicians like Mitchell is that they still tour for hopefully the love of the music.  So in remembrance of him and Jimi, let’s rock out!
